If you're coming off a Fall marathon and are looking for your next challenge, OR have completed a half-marathon and are looking to set a PR for your next half-marathon, this may be the program for you! We take your existing marathon base mileage and add some targeted speed work as we focus in improved pacing as we help you to set a half marathon personal best!
Our twice weekly group workouts take place in Central Park and are geared toward those of you who have already successfully run a half marathon in 2:05:00 or better and looking to improve your time. We will work with you to hone your existing running and fitness skills with an emphasis on pace and stamina during our increased intensity workouts. Each workout is generally 60 minutes but several of our weekend workouts will go longer as we maintain our distance base. Our group workouts will provide you with the support, encouragement, and consistency needed to get you to the starting line. In addition to our weekly group workouts is also an online training component. This will be updated weekly with what's happening in class that week as well as some suggested in-between class homework. This program will start at 5-miles. If you are unable to meet the program's prerequisite (a previous half marathon in under 2:05:00) please consider our Run Level III – Half Marathon Program.
Where/When: This class meets at our Time Warner Center location every Tuesday from 6:45-7:45pm and Saturdays at 8:30am starting January 10th and finishing March 18th, 2017.
