FIRST LOOK: HOKA CHALLENGER ATR 5
Hoka One One Challegner ATR 5: Road to Trail
Hoka One One continues their long-standing tradition of maximum, lightweight cushioning as they celebrate the 5th birthday of the Challenger series by releasing the Challenger ATR 5 this month. With an entirely new design for the whole shoe, it becomes more versatile than ever for runners looking for a smooth road to trail transition.
The Challenger ATR 5 is a versatile shoe suitable for both trail and road running. The CMEVA technology in the midsole makes it great for less ground impact when you have rough terrain or need a nice, soft recovery day.

Hoka Challenger ATR 5: What's new?
Sticking with what Hoka knows best, the Challenger ATR 5 will continue to have optimal support where runners need it most.
The lugs in the heel area are noticeably closer together for a more consistent and smoother ride when you transition from trail to road and vice versa. The opposite spacing is applied to the forefoot to provide a wider grip with the terrain gets dicey.
The upper mesh layer on the Challegner ATR 5 provides an even amount of support, durability and breathability. The new midfoot design has improved lockdown. A very supportive heel help to stabilize the foot during initial ground contact.
The toebox remains wide for natural landing and the outside toe reinforcement is made from textured TPU to increase the overall trail durability. What has stayed the same.
Hoka Challenger ATR 5: What remains the same?
All your favorites stay the same in the Challenger ATR 5. The maximum cushioning, a wide toe box and the same, but improved, versatility to go from road to mountain without the need to change shoes for comfort.
