The adidas Adizero Boston is a shoe that needs no major updates; it's that good. But with all good things, a few tweaks can always make a good running shoe even better.
The eighth reiteration of the Adizero Boston still has the classic adidas BOOST cushioning for 'endless energy'. There is no need to make
changes to the modern, dialed in midsole made for speed and cushioning. The Microfit construction of the Adizero Boston 8 continues its goal to provides a lock-down fit in the midfoot and heel for secure speed.
on the Boston 8 remains at the classic 10mm and weighs in at 8.6oz (men's) and 7.1oz (women's) meaning the shoe continues to have one of the best weight to cushion ratios in its category.
The main updates on the Adizero Boston 8 lie in the upper design. The 2019 edition of the Boston debuts a more simplified upper design for a sleek, fast-looking shoe. The upper now sports a light and breathable engineered
mesh coupled with internal reinforcements and some pioneering designs with a subtle camo edition sure to appeal to a new crowd of Boston soon-to-be fans.
Beneath the hood Adidas have used a slightly wider last on the Adizero
Boston 8, so it sports a more accommodating forefoot but still has a great race fitFaster heel-to-toe transition.
Getting to the bottom of the shoe itself, the outsole of the adidas Boston 8 has new tooling and a redesign
that gives increased traction and higher responsiveness. The sole continues to use Continental rubber ensuring solid traction on a variety of surfaces for an adidas no-slip guarantee.
